In the next couple of weeks I want to start setting up a schedule to run instances as a group. Seeing as we are a diverse group of individuals in terms of levels and time zones, I’m going to need some input from people on how to best set up dates/times/instance zones so that people can and will utilize this “service”.
Primarily I’d like to do this for two reasons. First, instancing is a great way to spend time with your guildmates. Most of my good friends in the game stem from having to battle and work together to do an instance run or group. Second, pick-up groups, generally, suck. With a team of guildies you begin to learn how to operate efficiently in a group setting and generally have –zero- twinks in your group. Plus looting is generally never a problem.
From a passing observation it appears that the majority of our guild is in the 30-50 range, with a few individuals on the low and high end of that range. So initially I’ll focus on instances of that level range (granted I’m going to take a few of you 55+ through BRD, LBRS, Strath, etc…).
What I need from all of you is what instances do you need to run? A lot of folks are getting to the Zul’Farrak, Maraudon, and Scarlet Monestary stage so I might start off with those. Also what times are generally best for people who want to run instances?

Well Vae,
You can probably take a WILD guess as to which instances I need to run.
Yes that's right. BRD, LBRS, UBRS, Stratholme, Scholomance, and the ever enlightening Dire Maul. Go high level instances! Anytime you want to set up a group for those, let me know because I'm chomping at the bit for a good group.
Yes, you are right, pick-ups aren't generally the best and I've been bored out of my spleen (and that is difficult) whenever I've done BRD/LBRS/UBRS runs with a pick-up group.
Emm.... and I will speak for Threya too. She would love to do those as well even though she doesn't know it yet. ;-)
Cheers, Xandrian

Well for URBS we are going to need to get a key made, which is done by running LRBS a few times. Also URBS is a Raid Instance, so we will need to get more than a 5-man group for that.
Perhaps in the future we can think about forming a meta-guild? This way getting a 10-man group would not be a problem.
Regardless, as a Paladin you need to get working on your endgame set pieces....being a decent tank is only possible with excellent gear. So we'll definitly have to play a few trips to get you outfitted.

We have an Alliance with the guild Bound By Blood, so we can talk to them about potential instance runs. I know that their leader wants the Dog Whistle to be a trademark item for the guild, so lots of help there for Scarlet Monestary (and I have already talked with their leader about making sure their members don't just up and leave after the whistle dropper).
I still need to make one more run to Zul'Farrek myself and am open to others. I ran LBRS today and it could be done with a good 5-man group (assuming our paladin is smart enough to keep blessing of Salvation active on me and the other spell casters).
We are growing but I think we also need to get more people active on the message boards so that we can use them to plan things. I will be around this coming weekend and would love to so some things then. I will change the message of the day back to an announcement of our website's url so that more people will come and register.

This is a great idea! I would love to start going through some of the instances with guild mates. Let me know if anyone wants to. I usually only have a large chunk of time on Thursday-Sat. evenings, but sometimes I do the rest of the time. I'm going to start checking here more often and see what everyone is wanting to do. This will be great.

I have a wedding to go to on the 3rd and will be traveling on the 4th in the morning, but I would love to run UBRS with you on the evening of the 4th (and no, there is nothing going on for the 4th where I am, fireworks are not allowed lol...something about national security and a nuclear weapons lab...)
Also, any afternoon next week would also be fun to run something. One thing that I would really like to try for is to complete my Devout Set, and you may know more than I where I need to get the rest of the pieces. What I have are the boots, belt, and crown. I would really like to get the robe next as it is a very pretty purple robe and would match the rest of my present cloth very well until I am able to get the rest.

If you can tear me away from playing my warlock (why didnt anyone tell me they were insanely fun to play) I'll help(SM, UBRS, what ever). That being said though.....it's gonna take a bit of nagging to drag me away from my lock . -V

I've been having problems finding a group to run through Uldaman. I understand it's not a very fun instance, and the rewards aren't great, but I have 6 quests there I would like to complete. I've been through SM 3 times and would be more than happy to help out there.

Upper Black Rock sounds like fun. I may be shooting explosives at the sky the night of the 4th, but as I understand it, that instance really doesn't take that long in a good 15 man group. I keep contact with a couple members of Purity, and I can see if some of them are game to fleshing out our group.

How stout do you have to be to make it through Upper Black Rock? I'm very near 46, Is that too low? And Citizen I would like to go through Uldaman as well. I have 2 quests there I think, and maybe I could round up a few more.
